Facilities

Our college is the first women's D.Ed aided college in Mandya. It has a beautiful campus with an attractive garden, a sprawling playground occupying a large area and buildings with good ventilation. Our college provides well equipped Laboratories. Our students are provided facilities to actively participate in various indoor and outdoor games. We conduct many interesting and useful academic and cultural programmes.

Auditorium

St.Joseph's auditorium ensures the maximum use of college facilities. It is large and beautiful auditorium which is used for various academic and cultural programmes. It is spacious and attractive. Many programmes are conducted regularly in a well organised and pre-planned manner.




ICT

Our ICT room consist of 20 PC's. It is spacious well equipped with the projector display system and can accommodate 60 students at a time confidently.



Curriculum Room

Curriculum room is a special collection designed to support students learning to be teachers, which contains - collection of charts, maps, globes, models, kits and some multi-media materials for different subjects.









Library cum Reading Room

Our Library is well equipped, spacious & bright. It can accommodate 100 students. It has 4300 valuable reference books and reading material. Students utilize these books and gain knowledge. There are Encyclopaedias, Journals, Magazines, Newsletters, Subject related books, Novels, Dictionaries and many other items.





Science Lab

Our Science Lab has modern equipments, chemicals, working and non-working models, charts and specimens to do various experiments related to different branches of Science. Students enjoy while doing experiments as they experience a perfect scientific atmosphere.





Psychology Lab & Counselling Room

To enrich the basic concepts about Psychology in student teachers, we have well equipped Psychology Lab. It helps them to apply different skills of Psychology in daily life. We also have materials for I.Q. tests prepared by the students and preserved in student Psychology kits.





A team of dedicated & willing teachers are readily available to help the students to deal with their emotional and personal problems in the counselling room. They give their valuable advice and suggestions so that the students may be helped to sought out & solve their own problems.





Class Room

We have large, spacious, ventilated and well furnished 2 class rooms for 60 students in each and 2 methodology rooms for 30 students in each.







Arts Room

In order to develop love for our culture & heritage we give importance for creativity in enabling them to prepare things from waste & low cost material. Painting, jewellery, costumes, portraits of eminent persons, autobiographies, collection of various articles are preserved & appreciated. Students use these things as & when required for exhibits & so on.





Staff Room

We have well experienced, qualified and dedicated faculty members. To work in their leisure periods the Staff room provides the required atmosphere for them. It is spacious, well furnished and bright. There is a separate shelf for Teacher's Reference books.





Sports Room

We have a full time Physical Education instructor. Students are trained in Athletics, Team games like Volleyball, Throw ball, Kho Kho & other recreational games. We always have fetched the Team & Individual championship in Yuvajana mela & other competitions. To foster this we provide all the sports equipments to be used by the trainees.





Playground

We have a very big and spacious playground measuring a vast area to play outdoor games like Kho Kho, Throw ball, Volleyball & Athletics. Courts are provided for these games.





NSS Room

We have large, spacious, ventilated and well furnished class rooms to accommodate 60 students per room.







Prayer Room

Prayer Room is available to spend time in quite to enjoy peace and severnity with the supreme





Drinking Water & Wash Room

Our hostel provides very good dining hall. It is cleanly maintained.





Hostel

Following the commencement of the institution, provision for hostel construction was made available. In the year 1966-67, the ground floor saw the completion and later in 2004-05 the first floor was completed.
The ground floor consists of 20 bed rooms, a kitchen, a dining hall and a luggage room and a good number of toilets. The first floor accommodates a prayer room and a study hall. Amenities like Television with a CD player, Telephone and Solar heater for hot water have been provided. Further, we have (24 hours) round the clock uninterrupted water supply. Every student in the hostel is given ample opportunities to develop social relationship, sense of belongingness and a healthy growth in spiritual.
